How an interior designer organizes the kitchen
We collected a set of rules / tips / ideas you should have in mind when you begin to reorganize your kitchen. I hope it is enough for your cook life. Let’s make a good soup.
- Keep your worktop clean
Let’s start with the worktop, because here begins the preparation of the meal. Avoid depositing things on the worktop that you do not need or that are just for “show”. If you do not have space in the kitchen and you use the worktop as a storage area, try to be more selective. Surround yourself only with the things frequently used and uses all the available space for storage in places other than on the worktop – for example like the area above the refrigerator.
- The division
The division of the kitchen must be done in the phase of planning. It is best to call an interior designer who will definitely support you in the best way. Try to have as much kinds of storage spaces as possible. You have to think ahead how much time you spend in the kitchen and what kind of tools and equipment you use.
- Store in dedicated containers, possibly with label
The more dolled you are your life will be made easier and much healthier. Store spices in bowls for example special sealed. Find them at specialty stores and all are a bunch, made of glass, ceramics, wood or metal. Moreover, you can label each bowl if you forget what you put in the container, or simply want to reach quickly ingredient.
- Dropper, dropper, dropper!
The habit of constantly cleaning the kitchen is the key to maintaining an ordered space. Mounting a dropper in the upper body of the furniture or in a dedicated compartment is a step in the right direction, this even if you have a dishwasher. Whatever you do, do not let the dishes to accumulate in the sink or on the worktop.
- Keep the accessories in sight
If you have a list of accessories that you use often it does not make sense to hide them all in the corners of the furniture and take them out four times a day. Can you choose these accessories in matching colors with the chromatic palette of the kitchen and expose them with a guaranteed scenographic effect on the worktop, caught on the faience with all kinds of hooks and suckers, or in other areas where you thing that fits.
- Group the accessories
Whether you organize your accessories or containers on open shelves or you start a plan for storage in cabinets, it is also very helpful to group them. Not only this strategy will create a clean, tidy aspect, but you will find them easily.
- Use the space to the maximum
Maximizing the space is the shortest way to an organized kitchen. If your kitchen is small, try to give a good use to the vertical space by hanging shelves, baskets attached to the ceiling or a cupboard with shelves. The possibilities are endless.
- Show the useful items, but also aesthetic
If you like the flower vase, nothing stops you to show it, but limit yourself to just one vase. Leave space for other interesting accessories, such as: a useful juicer or a large bowl. These are useful elements and more than that, you are freed from the closet space.
